New skincare brand launch: LIXIR – Effortlessly Good Skin

With over 20 years of skincare experience, Colette Haydon, a doctor in dermo-pharmacy launches a six-product line to, simply achieve ‘what all woman want- effortlessly good skin’. With a collection of impressively successful products and formulations in bathroom cabinets across the country, Colette has now created LIXIR in her London laboratory. LIXIR offers an advanced, yet relaxed approach to skincare.
Consisting of the Vitamin C Paste, Universal Emulsion and Electrogel Cleanser, the ‘must do’ trio are for all skin types, of all ages. A quick morning mask, protecting and correcting in one, the Vitamin C Paste neutralises oxidised sebum and proteins to revive greyish, greenish and dull skin undertones. It also provides a natural sunscreen against UVA and UVB rays and leaves skin vibrant, luminous and smoothed instantly. When used over a long period of time, your skin will look brighter, more even toned and lifted. For truly clean and glowy skin, the Electrogel Cleanser is negatively charged. This means the Electrogel™ attracts, captures and eliminates positively charged toxins- pollution nanoparticles, heavy metals and free radicals to give urban skin the ultimate detox. The Universal Emulsion is ‘all about the water, the ultimate anti-aging active.’ This formula is SPF 10, making it ideal for use as a day cream and can also be mixed with the night switch molecules for overnight hydration.
For specific skin issues, the Night Switch molecules have been formulated and are backed with published clinical results. The Retinol  1% regulates the skin’s metabolism from the top layers through to the deeper layers, overall refining texture, controlling problem skin whilst giving density, volume and firmness. The other two switches are acids- for skin exfoliation and renewal. The PHA/ AHA 10% combination can be used to even out tone, leaves skin radiant and plumper, as well as, overtime reducing fine lines and pore sizes. Additionally, the BHA / AHA 10% switch was ‘created for skin which is in a flux and needs to be regulated.’ It leaves skin with an even tone with blackheads and breakouts reduced.
LIXIR launches twenty years after Colette created ‘the NO list’ and consists of ‘yes’ ingredients which are safe, effective and formulated correctly. It is available from now and launches in Liberty London next week.
