Colette Haydon Skin Truths: How to switch up your skincare routine with Lixirskin.

Founder of Lixirskin; Colette Haydon’s philosophy behind her breakthrough 6- product skincare line is simple; an advanced yet relaxed approach to skin care. Lixirskin is a mix of hardworking everyday essentials and targeted molecules.

The edit is split into two groups; the core trio and the Night Switches. Whilst you sleep your skin goes into repair mode, so by adding a pump of one of the Switches to the Universal Emulsion in the evening you can target your own specific skin concerns.

If aging skin, fine lines and wrinkles is your concern then the Night Switch Retinol 1% can help to give density, volume and firmness. Colette explains ‘With Retinol, it is all about delivery, this is a phospholipid liposome to avoid surface irritancy’ Use this switch a couple of nights a week and over time users will see their skin becomes soft, smooth and clear in appearance.

The remaining two switches are acids. All acids exfoliate the skin to dislodge dead skin ,improve pigmentation and encourage cell renewal. The Night Switch PHA/AHA 10% evens out skin tone, leaving skin radiant, softer and smoother. When used over time age spots, fine lines and pore sizes are reduced. The Night Switch BHA/ AHA 10% works wonders for hormonal skin which is suffering from breakouts; Lactic Acid improves hydration, Salicylic Acid is antibacterial and prevents blocked pores, whilst Azelaic Acid controls sebum. Colette explains ‘I created Lixirskin Night Switch BHA/AHA 10% for skin which is in a flux and needs to be regulated.’

Only use one Switch at a time, then give your skin a rest before switching to another. “Our skin cells have a limited amount of energy and like us they can’t do too many things at once, if we are given a list of ten different jobs, we’ll just do just a few and we’ll do them badly” says Colette. Switching stimulates the skin to get better results.
